Jon Resnick, a blue belt under Steve Cardenas, has been involved in martial arts for the better part of his life. He received his black belt in Tang Soo Do under Masters Tom Bloom and Cecil Peoples at the age of fourteen. After several years off to rehabilitate an injury, he returned to martial arts to begin training in the art of Muay Thai Kickboxing at Fairtex in San Francisco. He studied under several champions for the better part of two years before he moved back to Southern California where he began to train in Jiu Jitsu under Bill Cooper and then Steve Cardenas. Jon is also an avid rock climber and a third year nursing student at Mount Saint Mary’s College. He now teaches kids classes at FBJJ.
Bryan moved to the U.S. from France two years ago. He began training BJJ at another academy and earned his blue belt there. He was the assistant instructor for the kids program there and after he came to Burbank he sought a new BJJ home to continue his training. We immediately put him to work in the kids program where he has been very helpful. Although he's only been with us a short time, he's already become a huge asset to our team.
